These plain-English terms explain how to use Keepsake with care. They are informational templates, not legal advice.
One important reminder
Keepsake helps organize and enjoy family memories, but it should never be the only place you store irreplaceable media.
The details
By creating an account or using Keepsake, you agree to these Terms of Use. Keepsake is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults who are legally able to enter into an agreement. If you use Keepsake for a family, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
Please provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details confidential, and let us know if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
You keep ownership of the photos, videos, stories, and other content you upload. You are responsible for having the rights, permissions, and consent needed to upload, process, and share that content—especially when it includes children, relatives, friends, schools, or other families.
You give Keepsake a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, process, reproduce, and display your content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the features you choose, including organizing memories and creating requested AI-assisted outputs. This permission ends when your content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup, legal, and operational retention needs.
Do not use Keepsake to upload unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive content; violate another person’s privacy; interfere with the service; attempt to access accounts or systems without permission; or use the service in a way that could harm children, families, or Keepsake.
Keepsake may use AI to help organize media and draft stories, captions, timelines, or other creative outputs. Those results can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your family’s context. Please review stories, timelines, names, dates, captions, and any print preview before sharing, relying on, or printing them.
Keepsake is not your only storage location or an archival-backup service. Keep independent copies of irreplaceable photos, videos, and files somewhere else. We intend to build for the long term, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or that the service will exist indefinitely.
Keepsake is pre-launch and will change as we learn. We may add, change, pause, or retire features, limits, formats, and availability. If we introduce paid subscriptions or other paid features, pricing, billing terms, and changes will be presented with notice before they apply to you, as required by law.
Keepsake, its name, design, software, and other service materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service, these Terms do not give you ownership of them. Some features may depend on third-party services; their own terms and privacy practices may apply.
You may stop using Keepsake at any time. We may suspend or end access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, if doing so is needed to protect families or the service, or if we discontinue the service. Where practical, we will provide notice.
Keepsake is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or permanent. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Keepsake and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of content, data, goodwill, or profits arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
We may update these Terms as Keepsake develops. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the service or another appropriate method. Continuing to use Keepsake after an updated version takes effect means you accept it. These Terms are informational templates, not legal advice.
